A New York City-based trainer is now the subject of backlash after posting an Instagram video in which he says he was called “white trash” by Trump supporters.
In the video, a woman at a New York restaurant in December 2017 said she and her husband were in line at a restaurant in Manhattan, and that Trump supporters called them “white garbage” and said they should get out of the country.
“He’s not even the president, he’s a bigot, he thinks he can bully people into getting out of this country,” the woman said.
The woman later told ABC News that she is now in a relationship with a man who also called her a “white, trashy, racist” person.
In a follow-up video, the woman and her boyfriend said they were told that Trump’s supporters were “pissing on” them, and the man was angry at the women for bringing attention to his comments.
In one of the more inflammatory videos, the man also threatened to attack them.
“You’re going to get punched in the face, you’re going a** and you’re not going to have the decency to leave here,” he said.
“I’m going to come over to your house and beat the shit out of you,” the man said, according to the woman’s boyfriend.
“That’s what you’re supposed to do, right?
I mean, that’s what I’m supposed to say,” the boyfriend responded.”
No, I’m not saying that,” the friend said.
After the incident, the women said they did not return to the restaurant because they did the work for Trump supporters, and instead went to a nearby restaurant.
In addition to the video and the comments, the owner of the restaurant also issued a statement saying that the man who called them a “p**sy” and a “whiny little bitch” was not the owner and that he was a friend of his.
The restaurant also said that the owner did not support Trump.
“This was not a personal attack, and I have no intention of defending it or being a racist,” the statement read.
“Our team members are all part of a diverse group of customers and patrons that includes people of all political views and backgrounds.”
