Why Canadian employers need to keep their eyes on the sky

Canada’s automotive industry has been hit hard by the downturn, but the sector is still growing, with a strong job market.

The Canadian Automotive Council has released a report that predicts the industry will add around 13,000 new jobs over the next five years.

The sector has added more than 17,000 jobs since the end of the recession in 2009.

But that growth is still very low compared to the other sectors, such as construction, wholesale trade, and tourism, where the unemployment rate is close to 16 per cent.

Some of the sector’s best growth has been in the aerospace and automotive industries, where more than 12,000 people have joined the workforce in the past year.

This trend has been driven in part by the introduction of the Airbus A320neo in 2018 and the Delta 200 in 2019.

“There is a lot of pent-up demand and a lot that is being built,” said Scott MacDonald, CEO of the Canadian Automobile Association.

“I think it’s an exciting time to be a Canadian, to be an auto-focused person.”

The sector is also expanding in other areas, with the number of jobs created in the automotive industry nearly double last year to more than 3,000.

Many of these companies have been struggling to attract and retain top talent.

“It’s a great time to come to Canada,” MacDonald said.

“They have great opportunities and a great workforce.”

One of the industries most in need of hiring is the trucking and hauling industry, which has experienced a massive boom in the last few years, with some of Canada’s most highly skilled truck drivers working in the industry.

“The growth of the truck industry has taken a huge hit, and that’s reflected in a lot the companies have done,” said Tim Kelly, executive director of the Ontario Trucking Association.

He said the industry is facing a critical time, with many drivers retiring, and there are fewer opportunities for new drivers to enter the industry and get their feet wet.

“We need to hire more people,” Kelly said.

Some industry experts say it’s crucial to recruit top talent in Canada, which is why they have been launching the Canadian Trucking Academy.

The academy has been run by a small group of experts, including Kelly, to help them find the right candidates.

The group of 20 to 25 experienced truck drivers, along with the students, travel to Europe and other places to train.

They also have an opportunity to train other professionals, such in finance, law, engineering, marketing, and management.

Kelly said the group of drivers and the instructors train every two to three weeks.

“Our students learn from us, and we work with them as well,” he said.

The students also learn how to apply the latest technology in the truck, and to train the drivers in their field of expertise.

The school also has a website where they can learn more about the profession and to apply for a job.

“For our drivers, it’s about the education,” Kelly added.

“You can see them grow and mature as a truck driver.”

He said it’s also important to keep track of the jobs that are open in the sector.

“At the end, when you look at the overall number of people who are employed in the field, you’re going to see a lot more jobs available,” Kelly explained.

“When we look at those jobs in the pipeline, you can start to get a sense of where you can put some money into that field.”

Some companies have hired some of their best talent in the province.

The Ontario Truck Dealers Association has had an influx of young drivers from the province, and it has been looking for more talent in a similar fashion.

“If you look around the province now, you’ll see a significant amount of young people working in a wide range of roles,” said CEO Dan Tully.

“A lot of the young people coming through are from outside of the GTA.

They’re going from other parts of the province to Ontario.”

Tully said the TDSA is also trying to find and recruit more senior executives, with help from the Ontario Chamber of Commerce.

The chamber has also launched a recruitment website that is focused on hiring professionals in the GTA, and Tully hopes that the recruitment site will become a resource for all business leaders.

“Whether it’s technology or marketing, we’re looking for people who know how to work with people, who have an ability to work well with people and are able to communicate,” Tully explained.
